Weak phones and slow data

What it is

If your phone or connection is slow, some 3D scenes or pictures may not load. The game can show a simpler view or a card for the place instead.

How to use the light view

1. If you see a place card, tap Try 3D again to try loading its 3D scene.
2. If the game shows Lagos hit a small go-slow, tap Reload Lagos Life or 🧊 Start in safe mode. Safe mode opens the map without 3D.

Rules & numbers

• A place card can show the place’s name, emoji, colours and a small picture, along with a message about why 3D is not showing.
• While 3D loads, you may see Loading the 3D… and a progress bar. If loading takes more than 8 seconds, the card shows how long it has taken.
• While a venue loads, its card has Map and Go home, so you can leave the screen.
• Some pictures may not load, leaving billboards plain.
