What it is

Groups let you chat and make plans with other players.

How to use groups

1. Go to Messages → Groups → make a group. Choose a name of up to 30 characters and an emoji.
2. Add people by username. They’ll get an invite in their chats with a Join button.
3. Chat as you would in a direct message. Anyone you @mention gets a push notification.
4. To make a plan, tap Plan and choose a place and time. Members can tap I'm in and get a reminder with Go now.
5. To pin a message, tap the pin option. The creator or an admin can pin up to 3 messages; they appear in a bar at the top.
6. The creator can rename the group, remove people and tap Make admin. To add people while chatting, open the group’s ⋯ menu, enter usernames and add several people in a row.

Rules & numbers

• Each group can have up to 100 members. There’s no limit on how many groups you can join or create.
• You can make up to 5 plans per group, scheduled up to 3 days ahead.
• You can send 40 invites a day. An invite stops holding a place if it isn’t answered within 3 days.
• Your group list and heartbeat news show your newest 200 groups. Your people list treats you as a mate in your newest 10 groups.
• Push notifications go out at most once every 3 minutes per group.
• If the creator leaves, the longest-standing member takes over. If the last member leaves, the group is deleted.
