Taxes and Free Food

What it is

You can check your current tax rate and tax-free amount in Phone → Bank → 🧾 Income tax this week. The Free Food programme subsidises qualifying food while it runs.

Rules & numbers

  • Salary, gigs, business, trailer and fund income, and prizes are taxed. Bets, sales, gifts and transfers are not.
  • Each week runs from Monday to Sunday. The first ₦1m is tax-free. Income above that is taxed at 20% up to ₦10m, 30% up to ₦50m, then 35% above ₦50m.
  • Wages have a separate tax band, so business income does not push your salary into a higher band.
  • Companies pay 5% of the week's takings on Saturday.
  • Subsidised food has a banner showing the programme and when it ends. The government's share is returned as Government programme paid. The default limit is ₦25,000 and 40 purchases per player per programme.
  • A programme lasts up to 168 hours. Subsidised food cannot be resold.
  • Elected players can set governor policies: half-price danfo and keke, a 15% increase in pay per shift, owambe season, food 30% cheaper, and steady light.
