Jobs and careers

What it is

A career pays you per shift. You work one shift a day on work days, and each shift lasts 60 minutes. Work well to move up grades and ranks.

How to get a job

  1. Tap Phone → Jobs. Each career shows its pay per shift, work days and any skill requirement.
  2. Tap Apply. The button shows whether you can start today, tomorrow or Monday.
  3. To change jobs, tap Switch to this job → Switch. The game shows you what rank carries over. To quit, tap Quit job → Yes, quit.

How to go to work

  1. On a work day between 6 AM and 10 PM, tap 💼 Go to work.
  2. Choose a ride using the ride chip. You can walk for free, or take a Keke, Danfo, Okada, cab or your car. A ride costs ₦150.
  3. During the ride, tap Skip ride › to skip it, or ↩ Turn back to cancel.
  4. Choose a work style: Do Your Work, Work Like Jaguda, Gist with Colleagues, Suck Up to Oga or Take Am Easy. Work Like Jaguda drains energy and fun.
  5. Answer each pop-up task within 2 minutes.
  6. Your shift ends after 60 minutes, and you go home.

How to leave early

In the 3D work scene, tap Leave now · ₦X before tax. You have 5 seconds to tap Undo before your shift ends. You can also leave early from the work card using Leave work early (partial pay); you have 5 seconds to tap Undo.

How to go to work automatically

In Jobs, tick Go automatically. At shift time, if you have nothing queued, your Sim goes to work automatically.

Rules & numbers

Example career pay per shift, from entry to top:

  • Tech: ₦9,900–₦76,500
  • Banking: ₦11,600–₦72,000
  • Music: ₦7,400–₦99,000
  • DJ: ₦8,300–₦93,000
  • Nursing: ₦9,100–₦75,000

There are 15 entry careers. Some mid-level careers require a skill, such as Fitness 3 for Medicine or Coding 3 for Product. Abuja, Port Harcourt and airport jobs can only be worked in their city. Law, Banking and airline careers follow you if you move to Abuja or Port Harcourt, and you keep your rank and grade. In Abuja, lawyers work at the FCT High Court; in Lagos, they work at Igbosere High Court.

  • If you leave before working 10% of your shift, you get no pay. After that, you are paid for the share of the shift you worked, with a minimum of 25% pay.
  • Win 4 tasks to get Employee of the shift and a 15% pay bonus.
  • A degree can add up to 25% to your pay. A Master's and a PhD each add 5% to every shift. Income tax is taken out after your weekly allowance.
  • A commute costs ₦150 by ride and is free on foot. You can turn back once a day while still on the road and before any task. Your fare is refunded, and automatic work keeps you at home that day.
  • Each rank has grades I–IV, with a 5% difference between grades. You move up a grade after a shift ends at 100% performance, once you have worked enough shifts at your grade.
  • A new rank also requires a skill level (usually 1, 3, 5 or 7), Rep levels, and 14 or 21 days for higher ranks. The top post requires a board interview. If you fail, you can try again in 3 days.
  • Reaching the top of a job ladder earns a Certificate of excellence on your CV. It takes about 7–8 weeks to go from Intern to the top.
  • When you switch jobs, you keep your rank if the skill is the same. With a related skill, you drop one rank. With a different skill, you start at the bottom. There is no wait to switch jobs, but you cannot work a second shift on the same day.
  • You are not penalised for being late or missing a shift, and you cannot be fired. Clocking in within 90 minutes of the start gives you Early bird (+3 performance).

Tips

If a pop-up task appears during your shift, answer it within 2 minutes.
